A Tennessee father has been arrested and charged with the death of his 4 month old daughter that he fell on during a drug overdose.
The incident occurred on April 3 at a Travel Inn in Lebanon, Ga on the 900 block of Murfreesboro Road.
Jesse Wayne Craddock,38 was watching his daughter while the mother worked.
During that time Craddock was also high off of fentanyl and fell on top of the little girl.
Officers were called to the motel for an unresponsive man and baby.
When they arrived Craddock appeared to be disoriented and unaware of what was going on.
Emergency crews administered cpr on the infant and transported her to Vanderbilt Wilson County Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
Craddock was also transported to the hospital and treated for minor injuries before being released into police custody for possession of narcotics.
He is being held at the Wilson County Jail on unrelated drug charges.
An autopsy report performed on the infant showed she died of asphyxiation.
A Grand Jury indicted Craddock on charges of Felony First Degree Murder, Aggravated Child Abuse/Neglect, and Simple Possession of Sch. II (Fentanyl).
