The man who caused a stir after being apprehended for stealing oxtails has been arrested again.

Authorities in Rosenberg, Texas, apprehended two men who were said to have stolen 18 packs of meat from different grocery stores. However, police already knew one of the men.

31-year-old Robert Stevenson was taken into custody and charged with Possession of Dug Paraphernalia (Class C Misdemeanor) on Thursday. This came after officers pulled over a stolen vehicle, and Stevenson had been in the passenger seat.

When police searched the car, they discovered several meat products that had been stolen from Katy and Houston grocery stores, including beef, steaks, brisket, and pork chitterlings. The items were said to be more than $500.

The driver of the stolen car was identified as 32-year-old Cornilius Davis. He was apprehended and charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.

Police say that Stevenson had been apprehended prior to this in November 2023 after he and another man were discovered with several packages or oxtails from Food Town.

Stevenson had been out on a $2,500 bond for theft and is supposed to appear in court on Feb. 13.

Both men have more pending charges for theft, police say.
