Women’s History Month reaches across the world Friday with countries honoring International Women’s Day.

“Inspire Inclusion” has been named as the campaign theme for 2024.

“This year’s campaign theme underscores the crucial role of inclusion in achieving gender equality. It calls for action to break down barriers, challenge stereotypes, and create environments where all women are valued and respected. Inspire inclusion encourages everyone to recognize the unique perspectives and contributions of women from all walks of life, including those from marginalized communities,” a message noted on the International Women’s Day website read.

Two entrepreneurs from Fort Worth exhibit that theme in a recording that brings together voices and honors what happens when women collaborate.

The owner of the award-winning Black Coffee in East Fort Worth, Mia Moss, and the owner of Carpenter’s Café and Catering, Katrina Carpenter, have found the value of working together when they each started their businesses, close to the same time in 2019.

3 years later, International Women’s Day in 2022 motivated them to lift up other female entrepreneurs. They began “Watch Women Werk” that year and welcomed women to come together with them in a market- type atmosphere where others could witness the goods and services that they provide.

Now, in 2024, the third annual “Watch Women Werk” International Day Women’s event will take place and highlight the businesses of almost three dozen vendors. It includes a message for all women: “Hey, Sis. We see you!”
