A two year old boy was shot and killed by a man late Sunday in Dallas County.
According to reports Anthony Mares,2 was transported by family to Charlton Methodist Hospital after being shot to death by Orlando Hidalgo,22 at the 9500 block of Beckley View.
Authorities arrested the 22 year old suspect at the hospital and took him into custody for questioning to find out he is not related to the victim. Hidalgo is being charged with capitol murder of a person under the age of 10.
Detectives are still investigating the scene to try and determine what lead up to the shooting.
The suspect has been booked into Dallas jail and being held on a $500,000 bond.
