Video: Woman Wanted After Brutal Attack On A School Bus Driver

Baton Rouge police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a woman in connection with an attack on a school bus driver.

The incident took place on April 26, around 5:30 pm, on the 4600 block of Bradley Street after a student had a verbal altercation with the school bus driver and called her mother.

When the students mother, 34 year old Brittany Banks, arrived her and another woman identified as 18 year old Carlicia Lewis entered the bus.

Upon getting on the bus Banks is seen on a video having words with the bus driver before punching her in the face repeatedly. At the time of the attack you can see the student, Banks daughter, striking the bus driver as well.

It was said that Lewis also struck the bus driver before attempting to stop the fight.

Lewis was later arrested and charged with second-degree battery of a school bus driver and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. She is being held in the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.

Banks is also facing charges of battery of a school bus driver, 2nd degree battery and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.

It was said the bus driver sustained several injuries including a broken finger along with head and shoulder injuries.

The driver was employed with First Student and transporting students from the East Baton Rouge Parish School System.

  1. When your kid is disrespectful and getting a free ride to school you believe they do no wrong on the bus look at this and tell me so sad

  2. Looks like a generational curse to me;This was just passed on daughter to daughter, one begets the next. Who knows how far up the generation line this goes, the girl probably considered this as acceptable behavior and doesn’t know anything else other than what she was taught. There’s a right way and a wrong way to handle every situation.Violence may be necessary sometimes, but definitely in most situations violent and aggressive behavior is not called for! Let’s do better people.
