A woman has been taken into custody after being accused of stabbing a man multiple times, in San Antonio, Texas. This was after she said that he hadn’t helped her pay the bills, records show.
30-year-old Cassandra Gutierrez is facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon which is a second-degree felony.
Arrest documents reveal that she and the man went to her residence last Thursday subsequent to drinking at a bar. She then confronted him and alleged that he hadn’t assisted her with the bills.
The situation got heated, and Gutierrez retrieved a kitchen knife and stabbed the man several times.
Authorities say that the man was stabbed in his neck, right hand, left leg, and back.
He fled the residence and called for help, and authorities met him at the leasing office at the complex. Documents note that the man had been “bleeding profusely,” and a path of blood led them to the woman’s apartment.
The man was transported to a medical facility and was in stable condition.
Gutierrez was apprehended on Tuesday, and her bond was placed at $75,000.
