On Tuesday, Corissa Laws, the woman who is said to have worked as a nurse, without a license in eight various sates, was denied bail in Cobb County, Georgia, where she won’t be released from jail.

Laws allegedly stole the identity of a nurse in Florida, utilizing it to take care of many patients who had developmental disabilities.

As of now, Laws has warrants for her arrest in Vermont, and other charges are pending in Orlando, Florida.

Reports indicate that Laws confessed to working as a nurse in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Florida, New Mexico, and Georgia.

She worked as a license nurse with Walton Community Services to care for eight individuals, who needed 24-hour care, at a home.

Law’s lawyer stated that his client should have been given a bond since she is only looking at one felony. He noted that only the aggravated identity theft charge is a felony as practicing without a license, in Georgia, is only a misdemeanor.

The attorney also said that Walton Community Services is the one who should be facing consequences for sending nurses, that didn’t have licenses, out to care for patients.
