Dallas police are investigating after a woman’s deceased body was found on the side of the street Wednesday.
Officers responded to a welfare check call around 3:30am on the 2000 block of S. Merrifield Road.
Once they arrived they found an unknown woman deceased from multiple gunshot wounds. She had no identification on her.
Authorities are investigating the circumstance that led up to the fatal shooting.
The Dallas County Medical office is working to help identify the victim. This investigation is ongoing.
