YouTube star, Lil Bo Weep, has died at the age of 22.
In 2015, Lil Bo Weep, whose real name is Winona Brooks, started releasing music that she produced on SoundCloud when she was only 15. She was most known for her song, “Codependency.”
Her father posted to Facebook that the artist died on Sunday, and she had struggled with PTSD and addiction.
“This weekend, we lost the fight for my daughter’s life against depression. She is no longer struggling anymore with the universe wanting their angel back,” her dad wrote.
A few days before her death, she had shared with her followers that she would like to have a memorial for her child that she miscarried last year. She also stated that natural childbirth may never be an option for her because she grew up with an eating disorder.
Before she died, Winona had 100,000 YouTube subscribers and over 30,000 Instagram followers.
Her cause of death hasn’t been publicly announced.
