The ATF has posted a 15,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a man who fatally shot a 7-year-old boy while he was laying in his bed earlier this summer.

Little Kyrie Barnes was struck by gunfire that pierced through the second-story walls of his Dallas home on July 2nd. A few days later, on July 6th, the 7-year-old succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

With no suspect description or any information made available to the public, the ATF hopes the $15,000 reward will lead them to answers.

Dallas ATF public information officer Sara Abel explained the situation at hand.
“Being a child, it touches home with a lot of us. That family deserves some answers, and this is one with the partnership with the Dallas Police Department we decided we could put a reward out there in hopes that we could gather some information from the public.”

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the ATF or the Dallas Police Department.
