A 7 year old boy that was shot while sleeping in his bed Sunday night has passed away.
On July 2, Dallas police responded to a shooting call on the 8000 block of Rothington Rd, around 9:30 pm.
Upon arrival they found 7 year old Kyrie Barnes suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
On July 6 it was reported that Barnes died from his injuries.
At this time police have no suspect(s). This investigation remains ongoing.
