16 Year Old Gunned Down On 4600 E.R.L Thornton Fwy


Dallas police are searching for a suspect after a 16 year old male was gunned down on E. R. L. Thornton freeway service road Tuesday.

Officers were called to the 4600 block of E R L Thornton Fwy by Dallas Fire and Rescue on April 25, shortly after 9 pm.

Upon arrival they found a 16 year old male suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.

While investigating officers learned that the victim and three other people were inside a vehicle, traveling on Santa Anna Avenue toward Shiloh Road, when their vehicles side mirror struck the suspects mirror.

The suspect then drove up to the victims vehicle and opened fire multiple times striking the teen.

The suspect then fled the scene before officers could arrive. Witnesses described the suspect vehicle as a beige/ tan suv or truck.

This investigation remains ongoing.


  1. Another life took because of this stupid open carry law everybody has a gun since this law was passed. So sad but true can’t they see we have been seeing more lives taken so no reason at all since it was passed down smfh. Blessed this family and i pray the find whomever is responsible for killing this young man!!
