17-Year-Old Suspect Arrested In Relation To Mass Shooting At Block Party

On Friday, authorities in Baltimore, Maryland, apprehended a 17-year-old suspect on weapons charges in connection to a community block party. However, the suspect wasn’t charged with murder as an investigation is continuing, police say.

The unnamed male is facing charges of possession of a firearm by a minor, assault weapon possession, reckless endangerment, and carrying a handgun inside of a vehicle.

On July 2, two people were fatally shot, and 28 others were injured, half of which were children, in the incident that happened in South Baltimore’s Brooklyn Homes neighborhood.

The two people who were killed have been identified as Aaliyah Gonzalez, 18, and Kylis Fagbemi, 20.

Three people remain hospitalized in fair condition.
