A family is searching for answers after a 22 year old woman was involved in a crash and then struck by another vehicle while standing outside her car.
The incident occurred early Monday morning on I-30 near Akard Street.
The young woman, who is a Grambling University graduate, was involved in a crash and struck by another vehicle on the highway. The driver of the vehicle did not stop to render aid.
The woman was transported to an area hospital in critical condition. She is currently hospitalized in the icu. She suffered a broken pelvis, leg, arm and and a fractured hand. The doctors have also put her on a temporary colostomy bag.
