Richardson Police Department detectives are investigating a homicide at a Starbucks on April 18, 2022, at 7:12pm.
Officers responded to 4151 E. Renner Road after receiving calls of a woman shooting another female.
The 23-year-old female suspect and 52-year-old female victim were in an argument when the suspect pulled out a handgun and fired multiple times. The victim was struck by the gunfire and transported to the hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
Officers believe the suspect and victim knew each other.
The suspect was taken into custody at the scene by the responding officers. The victim’s identity is not being released until notification of her family has been made.
The investigation remains ongoing as detectives gather footage and statements from witnesses.
