Authorities say Roy Jaggers, a 27 year-old from Las Vegas, was found deceased in Cathedral Canyon on August 1 in Nevada.
Kevin Dent, 36, Brad Mehn, 37, and Heather Pate, 27, face charges of murder, kidnapping, conspiracy to commit murder, and battery with substantial bodily injury.
Police say the killing took place because Pate thought that Jaggers harmed her child.
After getting Jaggers to come to her house, the couple, Pate and Dent, hurt him badly and put handcuffs on him. Next, they met up with Mehn who is her ex-boyfriend and friend.
They used several objects to continue to make the victim suffer. Then, they traveled to the canyon and tossed him into a cliff wall and shot him numerous times.
Jagger’s mom told cops that Pate was the last person her son spoke with. They found evidence in a vehicle at her home.
Later, Mehn showed authorities where the gun was located.
