54-Year-Old ‘Friends’ Star Matthew Perry Dead After Apparent Drowning

Reports indicate that one of the ‘Friends’ stars, Matthew Perry, has died.


Authorities say that the actor was discovered Saturday at an LA-area residence where it seems as though he drowned. First responders arrived at the scene after they were contacted regarding a cardiac arrest. It isn’t known what area of that residence that Perry was found.

Some sources have stated that he was discovered in a jacuzzi at the residence. It was also reported that no drugs were found at that the scene, and no foul play is suspected.

Perry is most-known for his part as Chandler Bing on the hit ’90s sitcom which aired for 11 seasons. He appeared in all 234 shows.

Perry also had roles in other TV shows throughout the years. They include ‘Boys Will Be Boys,’ ‘Growing Pains,’ ‘Silver Spoons,’ ‘The Odd Couple,’ and more.

He also appeared in many films, including, ’17 Again,’ ‘Three To Tango,’ ‘The Kid,’ and others.

When off the screen, Perry suffered from addiction to drugs and alcohol, including painkillers. For many years, he was addicted to Vicodin and had been to rehab several times.

Perry also experienced health issues which required multiple hospitalizations.

He was 54 years old.
