The Harris County Constables received a call early Thursday morning, around 5:20 a.m., about a foster family reporting their child, Troy Khoeler, missing. By then the boy had been missing since 4 a.m. Investigators stated that the child was left home with his father while his mother was believed to have been working at her job.
Officials came to the family’s house at the 4400 block of Rosegate Drive in Spring, Texas. Deputies said there were “possible signs” that gave them a reason to thoroughly search the home. Around 7:20 a.m., deputies found Troy inside of a top-load washing machine deceased.
Troy’s adopted parents were taken in for questioning as Harris County Sheriff’s Office conduct an investigation. It is unknown on how the child died or even how he got inside. Investigators are still waiting for the cause of his death from the medical examiner and also have not stated if there were any signs of foul play. No charges or arrests have been made.
