On May 31, Arlington police responded to a shooting call on the 3000 block of Amberway Drive around 2:50 p.m.
Upon arrival officers found a 37 year old female inside the residence suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Police quickly began performing life saving measures on the woman until emergency crews arrived.
Once paramedics arrived the woman was transported to an area hospital where she later died from her injuries.
While investigating officers learned that the suspect 46 year old Ayad Abu Aboud was responsible for the shooting and still at the residence.
Aboud was arrested and transported to Arlington City Jail where he was charged with murder.
Tarrant County Medical Examiners have not publicly identified the female victim at this time.
This investigation remains ongoing.
