Since 2018, an 8-year-old from Washington state had been missing. She was located in February in Michoacan, Mexico, and is back in the United States, the FBI noted.
On October 25, 2018, Aranza Maria Ochoa Lopez was abducted by her mother, Esmeralda Lopez, at a shopping center in Vancouver, Washington. She had been on a court-supervised visit.
In September 2019, in Pueblo, Mexico, Aranza’s mother was arrested, but the child, who was four back then, had not been found.
The FBI noted that throughout the years, they continued to search for the child in hopes of returning her home safely.
