A 20 year old is in custody after fatally shooting the owner of a gas station in Terrell.
On Friday May 12, shortly before 11 pm, officers responded to a shooting call on the 400 block of Virginia Street.
Upon arrival officers immediately located the suspect, 20 year old Jamarco JaKeith Blanton, attempting to flee the scene.
Authorities quickly arrested Blanton and located his jacket and weapon nearby. He was taken into custody and charged with capital murder.
The victim was later identified as Fahed Fatayri aka Pops.
Wow. He shot an 82 year old man. That’s very heartless. I’m praying for the family. That’s so sad 😞
