A security guard shot and killed a man late Saturday night in an apartment complex after an argument.
Officers responded to a call around 10:44pm at 8070 Leigh Ann Drive when an armed security guard called for backup after getting into an altercation with a group of individuals in the apartment complex after curfew hours. The security guard told officers he was trying to disperse the group and while doing so things turned physical and during the struggle he shot the victim.
The victim was taken to Methodist Central Hospital where he later died from his injuries.
The security guard was interviewed by detectives and released pending a ruling from Dallas County Grand Jury.
