30-year-old Luis Sajbocho-Ordonez had been hiding behind a business, in Gainesville, Georgia, waiting for a worker to leave out. Then, when they did, he pointed a gun at them and attempted to rob them.
The incident happened at about 1 a.m., on Christmas Day. While Sajbocho-Ordonez was struggling with the worker, another employee walked out of the location and startled him.
Sajbocho-Ordonez is said to have shot his weapon and attempted to flee. However, he fell on the ice and struck his head.
Bystanders were able to take two guns away from him and hold him down until police could arrive.
He has now been charged with armed robbery and armed assault.
The Gainesville Police Department commented on the matter through a Facebook post.
“Like a scene from Home Alone. Fortunately, no serious injuries occurred, and the perp went to jail.”
