Armor Driver Shot In The Face And Killed In Popeyes Parking Lot

An armored truck driver was shot in the face and killed in the parking lot at a Houston Popeyes Thursday afternoon.
The incident happened on the 5000 block of Antoine Drive when the guard was outside his truck completing a money transfer and attacked by three masked suspects.
The unidentified guard tried to run to the drivers side of his truck but was shot in the face at point blank range.
When police arrived the victim was found inside his vehicle and his gun laying on the ground next to the truck.
The armor driver was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
The suspects grabbed a bag of money and were seen fleeing the scene in a tan colored suv.
It is unclear how much money the suspects stole.
Police say the suv was later found abandoned blocks away from the scene and that the suspects were seen getting into a black Impala.
