At Least 14 Elementary Students, 1 Teacher Dead After Active Shooter Incident At Texas School
Law enforcement officials say that at least 14 children and 1 teacher have been killed after an active shooter incident at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott stated that the suspect has died.
A man, 45, was grazed by a bullet and transported to the hospital, and a 66-year-old was in critical condition.
“There is an active shooter at Robb Elementary. Law enforcement is on site. Your cooperation is needed at this time by not visiting the campus. As soon as more information is gathered, it will be share,” the school district tweeted.
Just after 2 p.m., parents were informed of the situation and were told where to reunite with their children.
Uvalde, Texas is about 90 miles west of San Antonio, and the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office and San Antonio Police Department were assisting with the incident.
The Houston Field Division of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives are helping with the investigation.
