1.2kviews

On March 27th, an incident occurred between 20 year old, college football star K’aun Green and 3 other unnamed suspects at La Victoria Taqueria in California.

Green stated he was approached by a random man where words were thrown, leading to the man leaving and returning with two friends and a handgun.

Green instantly sprung into action defending himself, and safely retrieving the handgun.
Witnesses stated that K’aun Green expressed to the suspect that he was an athlete, and would rather not take it there after retrieving the handgun.

Greens attorney Adante Pointer expressed that his client is innocent and the “video shows he was punched first, then the gun was drawn. He defended himself then disarmed the guy who was threatening to shoot him and then the other people in the restaurant.”
What then happened was unsuspected.

San Jose PD arrived to the scene leading to the star athlete being shot multiple times in the abdomen, leg, and once in the arm.

San Jose PD stated they assumed Green was the suspect considering he had the handgun. Witnesses stated that the San Jose PD shot Green while his back was turned. It’s believed that the officers on the scene gave him a warning to place the gun on the ground and 10 seconds later bullets were flying.

Fortunately, San Jose PD confirmed they did in fact shoot the wrong person, and will carefully look over surveillance footage to verify whether Greens back was turned.

San Jose PD has 45 days of the incident to release the body cam footage.
Thankfully, Green is recovering from his bullet wounds, and the actual unnamed armed suspect has been arrested.
