An off duty Dallas firefighter crashed into a vehicle early Wednesday morning killing the driver.
The wreck happened around 12:45am in Cedar Hill, southbound on highway 67.
Authorities say the firefighter was off duty driving at a high speed when he crashed into Alyssa Pimentel,18 suv ejecting the woman and her passenger out of the vehicle. Pimentel was pregnant and died at the scene, her passenger was rushed to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
The firefighter also had a passenger and they both were taken to a nearby hospital with non life threatening injuries.
Police have not released the name of the firefighter but says he will be facing intoxication manslaughter charges. This case is still under investigation.
