A Dallas store clerk is in custody for murder after he shot and killed a man for stealing beer.
The incident happened at a 7Eleven near Zang Blvd and Interstate 35 Wednesday night.
Officers were called to the location by Delon Johnson,23.
Johnson told officers that he fired his weapon at two men and their truck as they fled the store with stolen beer.
Authorities found one of the thieves about a mile down the road inside a bullet filled truck suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was transported to a nearby hospital where he died from his injuries.
The other thief fled the scene and has yet to be caught.
Johnson was arrested and charged with murder.
