Dr. Dre and his wife, Nicole Young, are legally separated but going through a contentious divorce settlement.
Recently, Young had him served legal papers during his grandmother’s funeral service.
Some sources say that he was served while standing next to her casket at the burial site at Inglewood Park Cemetery. Others say that he was served in the parking lot.
Dr. Dre was very angry and refused to accept the papers. It is possible that the server left the documents at the gravesite.
The documents are said to have been regarding the $1,224,567 balance for Young’s lawyer fees.
“Both Nicole and Dre will now battle it out over the validity of the prenup, which will determine their property settlement. Nicole wants the prenup declared invalid, citing that Dre said he wouldn’t ever enforce it. Dr. Dre said that never happened, and the prenup is ironclad,” a report stated.
