A person was struck by a vehicle and killed on Loop 12 after they exited their vehicle following a minor crash.
At around 8:50 a.m. this morning, Dallas Police Department and Dallas Fire and Rescue responded to loop 12 near interstate 30 for reports of a pedestrian that was struck.
According to police, a driver was involved in a minor crash and exited their vehicle. The individual then attempted to walk across the freeway when they were struck by an on-coming vehicle.
The person was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle which struck the pedestrian remained at the scene.
No arrests have been made. The investigation remains ongoing.
