Emergency SNAP Benefits Extended Through June In Texas

980views

The Texas Department of Health and Human Services will be providing $208 million in emergency SNAP benefits for June.
This decision was made as the state continues to fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
At this time the allowable amount is based on family size. All SNAP households will receive a minimum of $95 in emergency allotments.
SNAP recipients will continue to receive a 15% increase in their benefits that will run until September 2021.
The increase and additional emergency allotments should appear in recipients accounts no later than June 30.
Texans who are in need can apply for benefits, including SNAP and Medicaid at yourtexasbenefits.com or use the Your Texas Benefits mobile app to manage your benefits.
