A Dallas grandmother was hit and killed by a funeral hearse while crossing the street last month.
According to reports Pauline Kidd,78 was walking home after helping a friend on September 21. She was crossing the street near Fordham Rd when a funeral hearse, allegedly driven by a manager at the Peaceful Rest funeral Home struck and killed her.
Kidd was taken to a nearby hospital but she died on October 5 due to her injuries.
The family is looking for answers because they do not believe Dallas Police Department did a thorough investigation.
They have hired an attorney and they want to have an expert look at the car to determine whether or not the driver was speeding at the time of impact and if they were distracted.
Dallas police report said the grandmother was crossing the street in the rain and failed to yield the right of way. The driver was not charged in this incident.
The family is hoping Dallas Police Department will turn this case over to the DA’s office to decide if an arrest needs to be made.
