Officers were called out to the 7200 block of Marvin D. Love freeway Thursday evening after someone reported shots fired. 
When authorities arrived they saw an unresponsive male lying in the parking lot of Magnolia Creek Apartments.
The security guard Nicholas Chambers,25 alleged Christopher Means,25 was shot while trying to rob him. Several witnesses are saying the security guard overkilled and possibly shot Means for no reason.
Means was shot several times and transported to a nearby hospital where sources say he did not survive.
Chambers works for Dfw Crime Prevention and Investigations and has been arrested and charged with murder.
