A University of Georgia football player and a football staff member were both killed in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning.

20-year-old offensive lineman, Devin Willock, and 24-year-old staff member, Chandler LeCroy, died after their vehicle went off-road and 2 struck power poles around 2:45 a.m.

Willock was pronounced deceased at the scene, while LeCroy, who was the driver of the 2021 Ford Expedition, was transported to the hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.

Two other passengers in the vehicle at the time of the crash were also transported to the hospital. Police say a 21-year-old male sustained minor injuries and a 26-year-old female sustained serious injuries.

Multiple reports are claiming the surviving passengers are football player Warren McClendon and recruiting staffer Tory Bowles, however, UGA has yet to confirm this.

The team had just won their second national championship and were celebrating with a trophy ceremony and parade on Saturday.
