Handyman Arrested After Body Of Missing Woman Is Found In Septic Tank

A body believed to be a missing Florida woman was found buried inside a septic tank at her home and the handyman has been charged with her murder.

Cynthia Cole,57 was last seen on February 24 at a Jammin’ Jensen event in downtown Jensen Beach.

Late Friday Martin County Sheriffs found a body believed to be that of Cole inside a septic tank inside her home.

Authorities were searching Cole’s home when they noticed a septic tank lid wasn’t sitting right.

After excavating the backyard for hours they found the body buried about 4 feet underground.

Authorities found Cole’s car walking distance from Keoki Demich’s home on Friday.

Further investigating and reviewing of surveillance footage led officers to Demich arrest.

Demich was a handyman that had been working for Cole. He was arrested and charged with second degree murder.

Medical Examiner’s are working to positively identify the woman.

Detectives are working to establish a motive. An autopsy will also be performed to determine the actual cause of death.
