Kool-Aid Mix Recalled After Possible Metal And Glass Contamination

1.8kviews

Costco has announced that Kraft Heinz is recalling a certain Kool-Aid mix. This is because of “potential presence of foreign metal, specifically very small pieces of metal or glass.”

The warning was for people who bought the 82.5oz Kool-Aid Tropical Punch Mix with “Best When Used By” August 31 and September 1.

A grocery store chain in Southern California, Stater Bros, also commented on the issue. They say that the elements could have gotten mixed into the containers while in the manufacturing stage.

Stater Bros found out about the concern during an internal review at one of their manufacturing locations. They also noted that no one has come forward to complain or reported any illnesses as of yet.

Customers can look at the best-by date on the bottom of the Kool-Aid Punch Mix, says Costco. They will also give refunds for the product with those dates.

“We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused,” Kraft Heinz stated in their warning via Costco.
