Lewisville High School Student Fatally Shot In Raising Cane’s Parking Lot

A juvenile is in custody after shooting and killing a 17 year old Lewisville high school student in a fast food parking lot.

The shooting took place shortly after 4 p.m. at Raising Cane’s located on the 1000 block of W. Main Street.

The victim, who was later identified as 17 year old Skylar Ashton Marquel Linson, was transported to Medical City Lewisville where he was pronounced dead.

According to reports the juvenile suspect pulled into the parking lot and fired multiple rounds at Linson before fleeing the scene.

A Good Samaritan who witnessed the shooting contacted police and followed the juvenile suspect until officers arrived. The juvenile eventually pulled over and surrendered at the 1800 block of Trinity Mills at President George Bush Turnpike.

He was arrested and taken into custody.

Although the motive for the shooting is still unclear officers said the suspect was not a student at Lewisville high and this was not a random shooting.
