2.1kviews

A woman was discovered deceased earlier this month, in a lake. Now, her boyfriend has been apprehended in relation to her death.

26-year-old Dedric Jaquan Rashan Wesley, from Florida, has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of Beverly Febres, 24. She was found as a person was walking their dog in San Marco, Florida, on July 13, 2022.

Police say that the witness found the body floating close to the inlet of the St. John’s River. They say that she had two gunshot wounds to her head.

While investigating, authorities discovered a tattoo on one of the arms of the deceased woman. It had Wesley’s first and last name.

Six days following the discovery, the woman’s body was located in a vacant parking lot. A spent 9mm shell casing that matched the bullet fragments inside of Febres’ body was retrieved from inside of the vehicle. The passenger seat was bloody.

Court documents show that Wesley recently tried to buy an iPhone. He told a manager at T-mobile that his girlfriend stole his phone and had gone wild. He also stated that he wanted to terminate his services so that his girlfriend couldn’t get his communications.

Last week, Wesley was taken into custody without incident. He appeared in court where his bail was set at $500,003. He is scheduled for another court hearing on August 18, 2022.
