A Memphis man and his girlfriend’s son were arguing over money when the situation turned deadly.
Michael Robinson, 32, and 18 year old ZaQune Harris were arguing over a $5 debt in front of the Harris’ house.
Tensions rose and Robinson went to his car, grabbed a shot gun and shot Harris once in the chest. Robinson then fled the scene before officers could arrive.
Emergency crews arrived and pronounced Harris dead at the scene.
Robinson had a previous conviction for aggravated assault.
In sentencing, the District Attorney is seeking maximum punishment due to Robinson being a repeat felony offender.
Robinson is charged with first degree murder, being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, and tampering with evidence.
He is being held without bond.
