On Tuesday, a man in Cleveland, Ohio, was given life in prison after pleading guilty to raping three minor sisters, causing two of them to become pregnant.
Between June 2020 and August 2021, the girls, aged 10, 12, and 13, were raped.
The investigation had started when the grandmother took the 10-year-old to the doctor after noticing her stomach growing. It was then discovered that the child was pregnant. The 13-year-old was discovered to be pregnant, as well.
Detectives with the Cleveland Division of Police’s Sex Crimes Unit found that all three sisters had been sexually assaulted at their residence. Fetal DNA from both pregnant sisters was a “99.999999% match with Tyrone Hughley, reports note.
On November 17, Hughley was apprehended and granted a $100,000 bond.
On Monday, he pleaded guilty to three counts of rape. The next day, he was sentenced to life in prison with eligibility of parole after 60 years. He will be listed as a Tier III Sex Offender and must register as that every 90 days for the remainder of his life.
Hughley’s connection to the girls hasn’t been released.
