On Monday, a spokesperson for Nike stated that Kyrie Irving will no longer be partnering with them.
Irving had been suspended by the company after tweeting about a controversial antisemitic film, and now, they have cut all business deals with the NBA star.

On November 4, Nike placed Irving on a suspension. Irving did as requested by the team and league and gave an apology. However, the company hinted that their partnership with Irving was most likely over after the suspension.

“Kyrie stepped over the line. It’s kind of that simple. He made some statements that we can’t just abide by, and that’s why we ended the relationship. I was fine with that,” said Phil Knight, cofounder and chairman of the manufacturing business.

In 2011, Kyrie first became a part of the Nike family. Then, he released his well-known Kyrie 1 basketball shoe in 2014 when he played for the Cavs during his third season in the league.

30-year-old Irving seemed to address the announcement that was made in regards to his separation with Nike.

“There’s nothing more priceless than being free,” he tweeted, accompanied with a GIF.
