Richardson police have found the body of a young child today near the home of missing 3 year old Sherin Matthews.
Sherin has been missing since October 7 after her adoptive stepfather placed her in front of a tree near the home. The father told authorities that he placed the girl there as punishment for not drinking her milk at 3am.
The parents were cooperating but have now stopped cooperating with police. The father was arrested and charged with child endangerment.
The body has not yet been confirmed as Sherin Matthews but we will keep you posted as we receive information.
