34-year-old Jorge Martinez Jimenez and 45-year-old Jose Leonel Flores have been arrested for human trafficking in Richland Hills.
On Sunday, December 19, close to 1 a.m., an officer performed a traffic stop on a vehicle for a minor issue.
Inside the car was the driver and four other people who had no identification card nor spoke English. The officer also noted that the three rear passengers seemed to be acting strangely.
A bilingual officer arrived to the scene. Then, the three young men in the rear seat were found to be victims of labor human trafficking.
Now, Jimenez and Flores have been charged with trafficking of persons under 18 and prostitution/forced labor, a first-degree felony.
The 17, 18, and 19-year-old Guatemalan victims have been transported to a victim advocacy center in the area as an investigation continues.
