Suspect Arrested In Connection With Road Rage Shooting In Grapevine

An arrest has been made in connection with the road rage shooting in Grapevine that left a woman hospitalized.

The incident happened around 7 am Friday morning on the southbound State Highway 121, near Texan Trail.

Apparently a 27 year old woman was driving down Bass Pro Drive before entering onto Hwy 121. At that time someone in an unknown vehicle began honking at her.

The driver of the unknown vehicle then pulled along side the victim, pointed a gun and fired a round into her car. She was struck in the neck.

Grapevine police and emergency crews responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital.

The victim gave authorities a description of the shooter and the vehicle.

After speaking with witnesses and reviewing surveillance videos police were able to identify the suspect as 30 year old Brandon Leotta Rutt.

On Saturday morning authorities arrested Rutt at his Euless residence. He was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

  1. The way some people drive in Texas i see why its so many road rage shootings. Learn how to drive, quit driving slow in the fast lane and quit jumping in front of people going 70 and your going 50🙄😒 it pisses some people off 🙋🏾

    1. I get all that but go around them and keep it moving. Its a reason why its 3-4 lanes. One day that other person gonna be ready for the smoke🤷🏽‍♂️
