On February 12 Mesquite police were involved in an officer involved shooting that left one man injured.
Around 12:09am officers were called to an apartment complex on the 4700 block of Samuel Blvd regarding an unknown man banging on an apartment door.
Upon arrival they tried to approach the suspect, Dominic Green,31 to talk with him.
Green fled from the officers and dropped his gun. He turned around retrieved it and pointed it at officers.
Officers then opened fire striking Green six times. He was transported to an area hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
He is being charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and two accounts of aggravated assault against a public servant.
