Mesquite police have arrested five people in connection to the death of Key’Mydre Palmer Anderson.
On January 22,2021 officers responded to a call to the 2800 Block of Clay Mathis Road around 7:05pm.
Upon arrival they found Key’Mydre Palmer Anderson,16 laying in the ground suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.
He was transported to an area hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Witnesses at the scene told officers they heard a loud noise before seeing the victim fall out of the vehicle.
After a through investigation officers revealed Anderson’s death was a result of a failed robbery attempt involving the exchange of a firearm.
Authorities later arrested Johnathan Pyle, Simon Guillen, Crystal Guillen, mother of Simon Guillen and a 15 year-old male from Dallas.
They have all been charged with capital murder.
