Teen Charged After Posting More Than 30 ‘Switches’ On His Instagram Story

An 18-year-old is facing charges after he posted on his Instagram that he had more than 40 Glock switches.

A federal agent noted that the devices are of various designs and have various looks. Additionally, all of them will let a firearm give off more than one projectile with one pull of the trigger. This is if it is effectively installed on a semi-automatic Glock pistol. It would then allow about 1,200 rounds off per minute.

In June 2022, ATF and the Detroit Police Department started to monitor the Instagram profile of the user.

On June 26, 2023, close to 4:36 p.m., the user posted two Instagram stories. The first showed a video that revealed three essential parts for ten Glock conversion devices. They were all lined up in a row and just needed to be put together. “30 more in this week. 10 more now,” the caption read.

On the other story, a video showed multiple Glock conversion devices in plastic bags and a Glock pistol that contained a Glock conversion device, close to the rear.

On June 27, 2023, ATF Special Agents and Detroit Police served a search warrant at a residence where the suspect, Almaliki, was located. They then found, a Glock with a Glock conversion device attached, seven Glock conversion devices, an AR-Aeroprecision, X-15, multi-caliber machine gun, and one Springfield Armory, Hellcat.

When questioned, the suspect told authorities that he bought the Glock conversion devices from YouTube videos.

He was arrested and charged with illegally being in possession of a machine gun.

  1. All that intelligence wasted. Wait! Lol! Glad the idiot was arrested, he will have a long criminal career and when he eventually gets shot by the police, the black masses will riot. Idiots the lot of them.

  2. It would not fire 1200 rounds minute. A Mac 10 which was actually designed to shot from an open bolt like all large machine guns shot I think 600 rounds per minute. The largest magazine I ever saw for a Glock was 30 rounds, however I seem to recall seeing a snail drum for a Glock at a gun show in Arizona a few years ago. But say it was just 30 rounds. The clip would be empty in 3 seconds, but then you would need to release the empty and insert a full clip and then release the slide and pull the trigger again. I think it would take at least 5 seconds plus the 3 seconds provided you had a bunch of clips on a table ready. If you were well practiced I think that about 200 rounds is the most you could shoot in a minute. And doing it like that the broadside of a barn is about the best target available. But maybe I am overly optimistic in your ability.
