A 9-year-old boy has passed away after being unintentionally shot by his father.
The Hood County Sheriff’s Office, in Texas, stated that authorities went to a residence on Abbey Park Court in the Acton section of the county.
“A terrible accident occurred where a father accidentally shot his 9-year-old son.”
The child was airlifted to Cooks Children’s Hospital, in Fort Worth, where he was later declared deceased.
The incident is currently being investigated by the sheriff’s office and the Texas Rangers. The results will be presented to a grand jury.
