A woman in Missouri City, Texas, led police on a high speed chase for 25 miles and used a child as a shield.

On July 20, 35-year-old Tenescha Selena Henry was apprehended after leading authorities on chase as she was going 100 mph at certain times.

Henry had gone on the Gulf Freeway and was headed northbound on the service road. She had been speeding, changing lanes unsafely, and going in the wrong direction.

Finally, after going after the woman for 25 miles, the car stopped at the 14400 block of Cullen Boulevard.

When police performed the felony stop, Henry didn’t comply. On the other hand, she got a child out of the car. Authorities say that Henry put the child in a chokehold and used the child as a shield. It isn’t clear how the child is connected to Henry.

Eventually, a deputy got behind Henry and deployed a Taser on her. She was then arrested.

When looking through Henry’s vehicle, authorities discovered 22 pieces of identifying information, like driver’s licenses, security licenses, social security cards, Lone Star EBT cards, credit and debit cards, and health insurance cards.

While investigating the matter, Henry is said to have stolen those items and attempted to use them.

She has now been charged with evading arrest/ detention with a vehicle, endangering a child, and fraudulent use/possession of identifying information.
