On Wednesday, August 31, rapper Trae Tha Truth posted to social media, explaining the viral fight that took place on August 29. It involved rapper Z-Ro getting punched by a man during an incident with Trae and his crew.

In the 2-minute long video, the Houston rapper says that Z-Ro wasn’t ambushed. He added that their feud was about a family issue that has been taking place for years.

“The situation that they are trying to paint, the narrative they are trying to paint, that s–is false. Not a seven-on-one situation. It wasn’t no blindside, ambush that’s not what this is. This is family business, internal stuff that’s been going on for 10-15 years. That’s probably been building up and just spilled over into s—,” Trae said.

He added that the pair had a two-hour talk the next day, probably something that was necessary. Trae says that he is a good man and won’t allow others to disrespect him.

He stated that he and Z-Ro have fought since they were younger, but now, social media and cameras have made it all seem worse than what it really was.

Trae ended with saying that he accepts responsibility for what happened, but he isn’t going to allow others to blow it out of proportion.

Prior to Trae’s post, Z-Ro claimed that Trae sucker punched him, and then, Trae’s crew attacked him, out of nowhere.
